The B-25 strolled proudly along the parade routes at the Arvada Harvest Festival and Broomfield Days Parades this September, 2018!
The B-25 received its nose art in June 2018! Thanks go to Chuck Kubin (visionary) and Linda Bonjiorno (artist) for their excellent work!
We were a bit hit at the 1940's Ball in Boulder on Saturday, June 16th, 2018. It taught us you didn't need to be a kid to enjoy the B25. Hundreds of adults waited in excess of an hour to tour it and get their pictures taken. I would guess we had 200-300 folks go through it. Thank you to all who spent a very long day/evening. We raised enough in donations to pay for the new nose art for the B25.
Then last Saturday, June 23, 2018, we had all the simulators at the Longmont Airport Expo and, as always, drew a great crowd and pleased many a youngster. Again, thank you to all who donated a good portion of your Saturday to help convey our message - sincerely appreciated by all attendees.
On Monday, May 28, 2018--Memorial Day--the B-25 was on display at the broomfield Veterans Memorial Day Celebration.
The B-25 was stage-left at the Loveland "Game Day" Veteran's Event on Sunday, Nov 5th, 2017. It was part of the wonderful Longmont Veteran's Day Parade on Nov 11th.
The Young Aviators displayed the B-25 at the Denver Maker Faire, October 14-15, 2017. We also helped about 300 guests make cell phone stands.
The Young Aviators and the B-25 participated in the Broomfield Days Parade on September 16th.
The Erie Air Fair, August 13, was a great event for the B-25. There were lots of happy "crew" members! Read more at the fine Daily Camera article.
In addition, the B-25 returned to Oshkosh for the 3rd year, July 24-30, 2017.
The B-25 was--once again--a big hit! This time, at the 1940s Ball, June 17.
Thanks to YA's who came out for the AAACO BBQ June 3rd. The people & food were great, and all our kids received airplane rides!
Thanks to YA's who participated in the Boulder STEAM Fest April 29-30. We were a huge hit!
B-25 wins 1st Place!
On Sept 10, 2016, YAs and mentors took the B-25 to the Arvada Harvest Festival Parade.
The weather was gorgeous and there were YAs and mentors to wave and talk to guests. Thanks to those who were able to be there!
If you haven't had the opportunity to participate in a parade with the B-25, it is truly an amazing experience. The were many people who stood up and removed their caps as we passed. We also saw some salutes and tears from one spectator.
Prizes are awarded at this parade and the B-25 took 1st in it's category. The award included a $300 cash prize (much needed!) and a ribbon. Here is a complete list of 2016 Winners
The prize money will be put to good use, promptly. We can always use donations to maintain and improve projects. If you are interested in contributing to this project, please click here for a link to our chapter site where you can make a donation. A tax receipt will be emailed to you automatically.

Edward Gibson successfully completed his ICAN flight Sunday, 10/22/2017. We wish to thank all the instructors and extra thanks to Bill Kendall as his flight instructor (and for the use of his plane). Edward quite enjoyed his flight.
John Kellogg, one of the youth leaders, made his first solo flight on his 16th birthday last week. His birthday was the first day he was able to solo and the weather cooperated.
